"Wagyu" means Japanese beef cattle - "wa" for Japan, "gyu" for cow. Renowned for its marbling, tenderness, and rich flavor. Wagyu was introduced to the U.S. in the 1970s.
At Red River Ranches, we raise both:
50% or 75% Wagyu, crossbred with Texas Black Angus cattle for familiar flavor and bold marbling.
100% Wagyu DNA, traceable to Japanese foundation lines.
We believe in producing world-class Wagyu the right way - clean, chemical-free, and with care from start to finish. Our promise is simple: raise every animal with integrity, and never cut corners.
Every animal is raised on our land in Whitesboro and Gainesville - always respected, never rushed.
